NEWS CENTER - The United Nations Security Council, held a meeting regarding the Idlib agenda, called for a ceasefire.
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) gathered regarding Idlib agenda. UN Syrian Special Representative Geir Pedersen and Emergency Aid Coordinator Mark Lowcock informed council members about the icreasing tension in Idlib. Lowcock stated that 6,000 people, mostly children, in had to migrate from Idlib and from the districts near, in the past two month. They also stated that the regions, which are not controlled by the Syrian army gets crowded.
Both officials drew attention to the urgent necessity of a ceasefire.
THE TENSION HAS CLIMBED UP
The Damascus administration has condensed the operations against Idlib, which Assad sees as the last fortress to capture, since the end of 2019. With 12observation points located in the region, Turkey is opposed to the operations against the forces under its guidance. Turkey grounds this reaction to the refugee flow.
