NEWS CENTER - KDP's shifting power and TSK's air attacks worried the people of Zînî Wertê, which is important for Kandil. It was emphasized that the developments are a part of a joint plan between KDP and Turkey and the aim is to target PKK and YNK and to prevent Kurdish unity.

 

There have been remarkable developments in the Iraq Federal Kurdistani Region in the last few days. Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) shifted their military forces in Zînî Wertê, where is under the control of the Patriotic Unity of Kurdistan (YNK). Parallel to this development, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) has bombed the surroundings of Mahmur (Mexmûr) Camp and according to the final information reached, 3 shepperd women got killed with these air strikes. These developments in succession have been followed by the Kurdish people and other Kurdish forces with deep corcern. The reason for these concern is that KDP has directed their forces to the region by the plan of Turkey and want to surround Kandil.

 

THE TARGET IS KANDİL

 

For years, in an attempt to enter this zone, Turkey has never succeeded. This time, it is  predicted that, together with KDP intelligence, forces are piled in in Zînî Wertê as part of the continuum of this attempt.

 

According to the residents we interviewed, Zînî Wertê, where PKK claims the control over since 1990s, there are two goals in the stockpiling of forces Zînî Wertê according to Turkey's plan. The primary goal is to liquidate the PKK and the second one is to establish full domination in the region and to put pressure on Kandil through this field domination.

 

PEOPLE'S CONCERN

 

The people in the region express their concern that another goal of KDP's attempt to locate their forces in Zînê Wertêto cut the Raperin Soran line.  It is considered that TSK operations aim to cut the connection between Behdinan (Zap, Metina, Haftanin areas) and Soran (Xakurkê, Xinêrê, Diyala and Sîdeka areas) line and to dominate the Zînê Wertê area. The people of the region are also concerned about the desire to achieve dominance in this area to destroy the resistance castle of the Kurds.

 

A PLAN OF TURKISH INTELLIGENCE-KDP INTELLIGENCE PARASTIN 

 

Stating that entering Zînî Wertê is a rasult of the plan made between Turkşsh Intelligence Agency (MIT) and KDP intelligence Parastin, the local people shared the information that the main purpose is to try to neutralize the PKK in the zone and try to clarify the stand point of YNK.

 

People in the region state that Zînî Wertê is politically under the control of YNK as the Turkish state wants to show PKK as an excuse and KDP wants to show YNK as an excuse to attack and they are in preparation for this attack so that with a joint plan they want to weeken PKK and YNK.

 

Local people demand Zînî Wertê to go back to how it was before and no other power to be put in charge here as they also indicate that in such a plan, which aims to destroy the unity among the Kurds, only Turkey and KDP has benefits.
