SİİRT - Being held in Yozgat No. 2 Type T Closed Prison, Murat Yıldırım stated that he and 16 other prisoners have been held in cells for months without any justification.
While being held in Gaziantep Type H Closed Prison, Murat Yıldırım (41) who was transferred to different prisons with 6 prisoners after the raid on their wards 2 months ago, conveyed the violations of rights they experienced in a phone call with his family. Yıldırım, who is being held in Yozgat No. 2 Type T Closed Prison, stated that he has been held in a cell since the day he was transferred to Yozgat. Yıldırım shared the information that a total of 16 political prisoners were held in cells, including himself.
24 YEARS OF PRISON SENTENCE
Yıldırım's sister Zeynep Yıldırım, who lives in Siirt, stated that her brother was sentenced to 24 years after being detained in the KCK operation in 2010. Stating that her older brother Murat Yıldırım has been transferred to prisons in Erzurum, Diyarbakır, Antep and Yozgat since the day he was arrested, Zeynep Yıldırım said, "My brother has been constantly faced with violations of rights since the day he was arrested."
ONE PERSON PRISON!
Referring to her last phone call, Zeynep Yıldırım said, "My brother said that the pressures in prisons are increasing day by day. Even cells they are held alone are raided once a week, and the prisoners are persecuted. Only one of those held in a cell has a disciplinary penalty. He was deprived of his right to make phone calls. My brother said that another prisoner has been held in a cell for 7 months. Yozgat Prison is built on the basis of keeping people in cells. They are exiling a lot of people here."
