DİYARBAKIR - The report regarding the detention of journalists in Diyarbakır was not given to their lawyers. Pro-AKP-KDP media organisations targeted journalists and told that the journalists detained in the operation was "KCK Press Committee".
As part of the investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, police raided the homes of journalists early this morning. Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) Co-chair Serdar Altan, JINNEWS Director Safiye Alagaş, JINNEWS editor Gülşen Koçuk, Mesopotamia Agency (MA) editor Aziz Oruç, journalists Ömer Çelik, Suat Doğuhan, Ramazan Geciken, Berivan Karatorak, Esmer Tunç, Neşe Toprak, Zeynel Abidin Bulut, Mazlum Doğan Güler, Mehmet Şahin, Elif Üngür, İbrahim Koyuncu, Remziye Temel and Mehmet Yalçın were detained. Feynaz Koçuk was detained in Istanbul as part of the same investigation.
PRO-GOVERNMENT MEDIA PROPAGANDA
The prosecutor did not give the arrest report to the lawyers of the journalists. However, the operation against journalists by the pro-AKP and KDP media organizations was published as the "KCK Press Committee Organisation" which said 19 people were detained.
