URFA - While for the first time a commemoration was held for Hacı Esvet and his sons Adil and Celal Şenyaşar, the shopkeepers in Suruç closed up shops in protest against the injustice done to the Şenyaşar family.
Celal, Adil, Mehmet, Fadıl and Ferit Şenyaşar was injured as a result of the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP Halil Yıldız who were visiting the shopkeepers within the scope of their campaign for election. The relatives of AKP's Yıldız slaughtered Adil and Celal Şenyaşar as well as their father Hacı Esvet who rushed to the hospital when he heard his sons were injured, before the eyes of Emine Şenyaşar.
SHOPKEEPERS CLOSED UP SHOPS
A commemoration is being held for Hacı Esvet and his sons Adil and Celal for the first time on the 4th anniversary of their death. The first commemoration was held in front of the shop the family was attacked. Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar left 3 carnations in front of their shop for their lost loved ones before going to the Urfa Courthouse where they have been staging a sit-in for 463 days. The shopkeepers in Suruç closed up their shops protesting the injustice done to the family.
'THE PEOPLE OF SURUÇ KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED'
Speaking in front of their shop where his family was attacked, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "Three people from our family was slaughtered in our shop where we have been working as a family for 30 years 4 years ago today. We were attacked at our work place and we were slaughtered in Suruç State Hospital. It's been four years and the the facts aren't revealed or investigated yet. We were victimised. We are still in pain. The people of Suruç knows what happened and showed us today that they haven't forgotten. We will commemorate them at the cemetery today. The shopkeepers have closed up their shops to show their democratic reactions. They say that what has been done to us, was done to them as well."
COMMEMORATION AT THE CEMETERY
The murdered family members will be commemorated for the first time en masse 4 years after their murder. Following the commemoration at the cemetery, a mass sit-in will be staged in front of the Urfa Courthouse with the democractic mass organisations, political party represantatives and human's rights defenders.
