URFA - Welcoming the first day of the Eid al-Adha with her son in front of the Urfa Courthouse, Emine Şenyaşar said: "They murdered my family. This place has been my home for a year and a half. Don't Erdoğan and his wife Emine see this?"
The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 488. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. On the first day of the feast of sacrifice , the family left their house in Suruç and arrived in front of the Urfa Courthouse early in the morning. The family started their sit-in in the area known as the "Şenyaşar family justice corner".
Pointing out that they spent the Eid al-adha in front of the courthouse, Ferit Şenyaşar said: “Today is a holy day for the Islam world. Families welcome their guests today. They go to the homes of their children, grandchildren and elders. Stating that under normal circumstances, the family celebrate the feast together, Emine Şenyaşar said: “The state murdered my family, so today, the first day of the feast, I am in front of the Urfa Courthouse, seeking justice.”
THE JUDICIAL AUTHORITIES SHOULD RESIGN
Emphasizing that the massacre was known by the whole Turkey, Şenyaşar said: “This mother's 2 children and her husband were murdered in the hospital. One of his sons has been held in a cell alone for 4 years on the orders of the top executives. Those who remained silent about the persecution shouldn’t say that there is nothing they can do. The judicial authorities should resign if they don’t not provide justice.”
