THE THE MALE-DOMINATED STATE FEARS THE POWER OF WOMEN

Saluting those who displayed solidarity with the imprisoned journalists, Journalist Safiye Alağaş said: “JINNEWS, which reflects the women's struggle, was targeted with the arrests. The attacks against JINNEWS are an indication of how much the male-dominated state fears the power of women. The main reason for suppressing JINNEWS, which is the voice of women murdered in the country, which exposes the violation of rights of children and all oppressed people in the country and the struggle of women. As women journalists, we are not going to accept this. We were always there when women took to the streets to be heard with our cameras. Now the women's organisations must stand with us. We are sure that journalism will be defended more with each passing day. Hoping to see the days I'll go out to follow stories with my colleagues.."

WE WILL WRITE UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

Expressing that she is happy for the growing solidarity, Journalist Neşe Toprak said: “I spends my time reading books and drawing pictures, which the prison administration tries to stop by not giving my pastels. This is not too important. We will continue to write under all circumstances. Thank you for your solidarity."
