NEWS CENTER - The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, received Lieutenant General Michael Corella, the commander of the US Central Command, and his accompanying delegation. They discussed efforts to combat ISIS in light of Turkish threats.
SDF's Official Website of the Syrian Democratic Forces, during a meeting held between the two parties, they discussed "military operations and increased cooperation with the international coalition in combating ISIS, as the partnership in counter-terrorism efforts and support for stability and security in the region.
The Website added, "It was also discussed about the increasing dangers posed by the al-Hol camp and the prisons that shelter ISIS gangs, and the need to raise the level of international and local efforts to surround this file and reduce its danger."
During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief, Mazloum Abdi, expressed the security concerns posed by the Turkish threats to the region, especially the impact on efforts to combat ISIS and the files of al-Hol and prisons.
The Website also said that General Corella, for his part, recalled the opposition of the US military and government institutions to any possible Turkish attack against the regions of NE Syria.
