SIRNAK - The extent of the massacre draws attention in the new images that have emerged of the tree cutting carried out by the rangers under the supervision of soldiers in the Besta Region.
In the Cudi, Gabar Mountains and Besta Region of Şırnak, trees have been cut down by the rangers under the supervision of soldiers for 2 years. In the Besta Region, tens of thousands of oak trees were plundered and destroyed by the rangers.
In the new images, it is seen that tens of thousands of trees have been cut down and loaded on trucks in the Mila Kêrî, Kanîya Qeymeqam (Kaymakam Çeşmesi) Rûsor water shores and Pişta Reşa regions of Şırnak center.
NO TREE WAS LEFT IN THE FOREST AREA!
In the images, it is seen that the forest area has gone completely barren and not a single tree has been left standing in a large area, while thousands of tons of trees that have been cut and turned into logs have been laid on the ground. While it is seen that the cut trees are loaded on the trucks going to the region, the dimensions of the massacre are revealed.
It is noteworthy that while the cut trees are taken to different cities and sold, they are also put up for sale by some individuals.
MANAGER VISITED THE GOVERNOR
On the other hand, it was learned that Urfa Regional Director of Forestry, Mehmet Zeki Bayıcı, who remained silent about the forest destruction, visited Şırnak Governor Osman Bilgin yesterday. It drew attention that such a visit took place after the public condemnation againt the tree plunder.
