WAN - Condemning Turkey's chemical weapons attacks, Members of the Wan Peace Mothers Assembly said: "Silence is 'death'. The solution is not in war, but in peace and justice."
Members of the Wan Peace Mothers Assembly reacted to the use of chemical and banned weapons in the attacks that took 7 months to reach Zap, Avaşîn and Metina regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region of Turkey. Besna Aydoğan, Mother of Peace said: "The use of chemical weapons is prohibited and is a war crime. Why is the use of chemical weapons used against Kurds, even though it is a crime?"
Pointing to the "Rally of Humanity" held against the use of chemical weapons, Aydoğan said: "We want this war to end. The deaths should be ended and an atmosphere of peace and tranquility should be in the country. The Kurds are not annihilated by killing and so Kurds do not give up fighting. We will always continue to defend our rights. We are calling the authorized names; Enough of this death and war."
'SILENCE IS DEATH'
Stating that they condemned the use of chemical weapons and condemning the silence of the international forces, Zekiye Kaya said: "Why don't you still make a sound against the use of these banned weapons? These weapons are prohibited by law. Everyone should speak out against chemical weapons and dirty war because war is not a solution, the solution is peace and justice. Silence is death. Those who use it know that their end is coming."
