PEOPLE MARCHED DESPITE POLICE BLOCKADE
The people, who were besieged by the police on Cengiz Topel Street, were tried to be prevented by the ban of the Hakkari Governor's Office which is renewed every 15 days. Protesting the police, the crowd broke the police barrier and the the blockade with the slogan "Jin, jiyan, azadi" and marched towards the HDP Gever district organization building. The march ended in front of the district organization building.
'WAR DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEMS'
Hundreds of party members who set out to march from Hakkari to Gever were blocked at the Depin police checkpoint by the police. Because of the blockade, the crowd made a statement here. HDP Ağrı Deputy Abdullah Koç stated that the democratic demands of the people have been hindered by the bans on "demonstrations" in the city for years, which is against the law, and said, "The AKP-MHP government has put Turkey in a dead end with these bans. We do not accept these applications. The constitution has been shelved by the government. There has been a war in Turkey for 40 years. However, this war does not solve the problem. Therefore, we want peace, not war. We want a peace process to start."
