URFA - Emine Şenyaşar, who has been on the sit-in for 641 days, was notified that 2 lawsuits were filed during the Human Rights Week. 6 of the 15 investigations opened against Emine Şenyaşar turned into lawsuits with these lawsuits.
December 10, the day the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948, is recognized as "World Human Rights Day", and the week enclosing the day is considered "Human Rights Week".
What Emine Şenyaşar get through is fthe biggest violation of rights in recent years. Her husband and two sons were murdered by the budyguard and relatives of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız on June 14, 2018 and her son Fadıl Şenyaşar was sent to prison as a perpetrator.
HEARING OF THE CASE IS ON JANUARY 17
Fadıl Şenyaşar, who was injured while protecting his brothers, was sentenced to 37 years and 9 months in prison in the workplace trial. As for Esvet, Celal and Adil Şenyaşar, who were murdered in Suruç State Hospital, where they were taken as injured, the first hearing of the case opened after 4 years and 4 months will be held at the Malatya 5th High Criminal Court on January 17, 2023.
15 INVESTIGATION 6 CASE
Emine Şenyaşar has been holding a sit-in with her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the massacre, in front of the Urfa Courthouse for 641 days, demanding a fair trial and the release of her son, who was arrested while protecting his brothers. While no steps were taken to meet Emine Şenyaşar's demands during the sit-in, 15 investigations have been opened against her so far, 6 of which have turned into lawsuits. Two of these cases were notified on December 6, which took place in Human Rights Week. Two of the 15 investigations spread over time were opened during the so-called Human Rights week.
Mehmet Ali Aslan, a member of the Libertarian Lawyers Association (ÖHD), who is one of the family lawyers who spoke about the investigations and lawsuits, said that all of the investigations were opened "during the demand for justice resistance".
'THE STRUGGLE FOR JUSTICE IS WANTED TO BE DISRUPTED'
Stating that a total of 6 lawsuits have been filed against Emine Şenyaşar, out of 15 investigations, including the last two prosecutions opened against Emine Şenyaşar, Aslan said: "Emine Şenyaşar has been in front of the courthouse for 641 days. All of these investigations started against Emine. The investigations within the time that Şenyaşar spent in the courthouse. We see that there is an effort to disrupt the struggle for justice initiated by Emine Şenyaşar with these investigations."
