URFA- The members of the Urfa Peace Mothers Council called for peace against war by laying down their white scarf.

The Urfa Peace Mothers Council made a statement in front of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) provincial building to end the ongoing wars in Kurdistan. In the statement, the banner "Stand up for an honorable peace" was unfurled. Speaking on behalf of mothers, Meyaser Korkmaz said: "As Urfa Peace Mothers, we want peace against the war. We do not want any weapons to explode any more. The hearts of soldiers and guerrilla mothers are burned every time a gun explodes. We don't want to hurt so bad in anyone's hearts to burn anymore. We don't want war all over the world and in Turkey. We say no to war."

Calling for an honorable peace and reminding that the war would stop if women threw their white scarf on the ground, Korkmaz said: "We want the war to stop."

Then, the mothers put the white scarf on their heads to end the war.

Speaking in a statement, members of the Peace Mothers Council said that they wanted the isolation to be lifted and the war to end.

The statement ended with the slogans "Jin jiyan azadi(women life freedom)".
