ANKARA - TJA and the Council of HDP Women will meet with women in 10 cities affected by the earthquake in Maraş as part of the March 8 events this year.
The March 8 planning of the Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) and the Council of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Women has been announced. TJA started with the slogan "The Solidarity of Women Keeps Alive" on February 25, and the Council of HDP Women on February 26 with the slogan "We are not alone, we are together/Jin, jiyan, azadi" within the scope of the March 8 program. Meetings will be held in 10 cities.
TJA members and HDP women will set off by loading the kits they have prepared for women on the Purple Trucks. Departing from the Aegean, Marmara, Central Anatolia, East of Turkey and Diyarbakır regions, women will hold solidarity meetings with women in Hatay, Gaziantep, Maraş, Adıyaman, Malatya, Urfa, Adana, Diyarbakır, Kilis and Osmaniye.
The March 8 program of the TJA and the Council of HDP Women is as follows:
* Women from TJA, who will gather in East of Turkey, will be at Malatya on March 1 with the participation of HDP MPs Dilan Diyet Taşdemir, Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit and Şevin Coşkun.
* women will be in Hatay on 3 March with the participation of TJA members from the Aegean region and HDP MPs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Serpil Kemalbay.
* HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan, the Council of Women Spokesperson Ayşe Acar Başaran, co-chairpersons and co-spokespersons of HDP component parties will be in Hatay on March 4.
* Women from the cities of Central Anatolia will be at Gaziantep on March 4 with the participation of HDP Group MP Chairperson Meral Danış Beştaş, MPs Filiz Kerestecioğlu and Muazzez Orhan.
* Women from the Marmara Region will be in Maraş on March 6 with the participation of HDP MPS Oya Ersoy, Hüda Kaya, Züleyha Gülüm and Dilşat Canbaz.
* TJA women from Batman on March 1 with the participation of HDP MP Feleknas Uca, from Diyarbakır on 3 March with the participation of MPs Dersim Dağ and Remziye Tosun, from Siirt on 5 March with the participation of MP Nuran Imir; HDP Spokesperson Ebru Günay and MP Pero Dündar will depart from Mardin to Adıyaman on March 4.
* HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan will speak at the Parliamentary Women's Group Meeting on March 7 within the scope of the program.
* Mass marches will be held in Van, Batman, Siirt, Şırnak and Mardîn on March 8 under the leadership of TJA. In addition, statements will be made in many cities with the participation of TJA, the Council of HDP Women and the platforms of women.
