URFA- The Şenyaşar family, who carried out the sit-in in front of the Urfa Courthouse, lit candles for the earthquake victims and justice.
The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached 715. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. The family, who came to the courthouse from their house in Suruç, started the sit-in in front of the banner that read "Justice for the Şenyaşar family".
THE DEMAND OF SOCIETY IS JUSTICE
Şenyaşar family, who supported the "You too light a candle from your window" campaign, which was launched to draw attention to what happened in the earthquake, started the action by lighting two candles at the guard post. Speaking at the action, Ferit Şenyaşar emphasized that his actions are on the 715th day and said: "While trying to separate the society, different people and opposition parties are trying to get the country out of this dark process by coming together. The biggest demand of the society is right, law and justice. We have been in front of the courthouse for 715 days for rights, law and justice. We lit two candles in front of the courthouse to end this dark process. One candle is for the earthquake victims and one candle is for our demand for justice. These candles will continue to light until justice will be served in this country."
