AMED - If your intelligence is not conveyed to you, if your media that you collect in one hand does not show, hear from me: The young people I see in Newroz are very attached to Öcalan! And they are all younger than the 24 years Öcalan was in prison.
I can say that it was the police who made the most preparations for Amed Newroz this year. I have been watching Amed Newroz for the last 9 years, but I have never seen such "security" nonsense in any of them. The police, who have been using the Newroz Park where the celebration will take place, as a police station for days, must have seen the iron barrier and fences last year, as this year they surrounded the double row of iron barriers, razor fences and a mixer that will view the area with wire mesh. A state that prides itself on its tanks, cannons, planes, UAVs, drones and unlimited military power, whatever it fears is happening to it! As far as I have learned, a mobilization was made to prevent the repetition of slogans and posters shouted in favor of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, who was held in isolation during the Newroz in Êlih(Batman), Wan, and Qoser. Yellow, red and green colors were not included in the area, even if they are separate, so that they do not come together. Even the pens of journalists were confiscated. Kurdish clothes were banned. They create obstacles upon obstacles to prevent anything symbolic belonging to the Kurds from coming together.
'WE BOTH MOURN AND CELEBRATE NEWROZ'
Another strangeness that caught my attention in the field is forgive me, but no one has the state of mourning. Moreover, many of these people are people who have been homeless due to the earthquake and have lost their relatives. They are walking to the field with a bagel and a water bottle in their hands, not fast but with running steps. All of them are laughing, cheerful, cheerful masses. At the time I had to leave the area, the kal û pirs (olders) were not yet in sight. I couldn't stand the woman walking with her two little ones, dressed in her colorful clothes, and I asked her: "We should wear black, dark clothes,” and she answered: “We both mourn and celebrate Newroz, and also go to the elections.”
By the way, the barriers, razor fences, wire fences I mentioned above were already being used as a hammock when I came back. They were shouting to each other, "Come, come here..." Like ants, they are coming to destroy the order of the elephants, above the ground, just so you know!
