ŞIRNAK- 6 villages of Cizre have been under a military blockade for 10 days on the grounds of "notification". On the first day of the blockade, the soldiers raided the houses, subjecting those entering and leaving the village to GBT control.
It has been learned that the villages of Cinibrê (Yeşilyurt), Nehirbê (Sulak), Biyakopkê (Aşağı Çeşme), Batilê (Tepeönü), Sirsirkê (Çağıl), Gozik (Gürsu) in the Cizîr district of Şırnak have been under a military blockade for 10 days. It was stated that the soldiers blockaded the village on the grounds of "notification". People passing through the military checkpoints set up at the entrances and exits of the village are subjected to a General Information Scan (GBT).
A villager, who did not want to be named for security reasons, stated that everyone was nervous because of the blockade and said: “No one can go out after dark. Since it is the month of Ramadan, people usually go out after iftaar. But because of this blockade, no one can leave. We are in a difficult situation. In the first raids, the soldiers broke the doors and windows of many houses and threatened families. The soldiers said that they would be in the villages for a while in line with the orders they received from the authorities. That's why we don't know when the blockade will lift."
