ANKARA - EMEP, which is part of the Labor and Freedom Alliance, decided to enter the elections from the Green Left Party list in order not to lose votes.
Announcing its decision not to nominate candidates in the presidential elections, the Labor and Freedom Alliance is shaping its strategy for the general elections. People's Democratic Party (HDP), Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party), Workers Party of Turkey (TIP), Labor Party (EMEP), Social Freedom Party (TOP), Labor Movement Party ( EHP) and the Socialist Assemblies Federation (SMF) reached a full consensus on March 24 after they announced their positions on the Presidential elections. HDP, TÖP, EHP and SMF decided to enter the elections from the Green Left Party list, and TİP and EMEP with their own logos in the elections to be held under the umbrella of the Labor and Freedom Alliance, and submitted the election protocol to the Supreme Election Board (YSK) on the same day.
Aiming to enter the elections with its own logo under the umbrella of the alliance, EMEP reconsidered the HDP's single list proposal to avoid loss of votes and MPs. EMEP, taking HDP's proposal into consideration, decided to enter the elections from the Green Left Party list.
