ADIYAMAN- The earthquake victims staying in Binevler Neighborhood said that they have not been able to access clean water for days and they are trying to meet their water needs from neighboring villages and streams.
The earthquake victims living in the Binevler (Disaster Evleri) Neighborhood of Adıyaman center cannot access clean water due to the damage to the infrastructure, the mixing of the sewerage into the mains water and the debris dumping.
EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS CARRY WATER FROM THE STREAMS
Stating that they have been experiencing water problems since February 6, Emine Fazille said: "We do not have access to clean water and that the authorities have not taken any action regarding the water problem. Our people still live outside, their houses are in ruins. We have not had water since the earthquake, we are in a miserable condition. There is no water in this neighborhood, no aid is provided. We bring water from neighboring villages, streams, or other places. We can't take a bath, we've been in tents for a long time. Our tents were flooded. Our neighborhood has been destroyed, we are not in a position to make a living."
'PEOPLE DO NOT LEFT THEIR LAND'
Stating that his house was destroyed in the earthquake, Abuş said: "The state did not give us a tent. There was no return from the places he applied for the tent. My house was destroyed, they gave me 500 TL of support money, and I gave that money back to them. They tax people so much. Where were their citizens when they were groaning under the rubble, why didn't they help. How will he heal the wounds of the earthquake that hit 11 cities that could not even repair a neighborhood? Don't be fooled by anyone. If the houses of people are reported as 'minor damaged', they should return after making repairs to their houses. People should not leave their land.”
