NEWS CENTER - It has been stated that 3,730 banned bombs and chemical weapons were used in the attacks on Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna, which lasted a year.
While Turkey's attacks against the Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region continue, the People's Defense Center (HSM) Headquarters Command made a statement regarding the one-year process. The statement in the ANF included information about what happened between April 14, 2022 and April 14, 2023. In the statement that drew attention to the withdrawal of soldiers and guards from some areas in Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna, it was reported that 259 HPG and YJA-Star members lost their lives. In the statement, it was stated that 2,833 soldiers and guards lost their lives and 387 were injured.
In the statement, it was noted that the region was bombed tens of thousands of times with tanks, howitzers, mortars and heavy weapons, and that it was bombed 4,233 times with warplanes and 5,628 times with helicopters. It was also stated that 3,730 attacks were carried out with banned bombs and chemical weapons.
