DİYARBAKIR - Green Left Party Amed parliamentary candidates visited the grave of HEP Provincial Chairperson Vedat Aydın, who was murdered in 1991.
 
Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) Amed(Diyarbakır) parliamentary candidates visited the grave of former People's Labor Party (HEP) Provincial Chairperson Vedat Aydın, who was kidnapped and murdered by JİTEM on July 5, 1991, on the occasion of Ramadan Feast.
 
Aydın's grave, located in Mardin Kapı Cemetery in Sur district of Amed, Assistance, Solidarity, Unity and Culture Association with Families Who Lost Their Relatives in the Cradle of Civilizations (MEBYA-DER), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Van MP Sezai Temelli, Green Left Party Amed parliamentary candidates, Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Greens Left and Future Party (Green Left Party) provincial and district organization executives and representatives of many non-governmental organizations.
 
'FLAG OF FREEDOM IS IN THE HANDS OF MILLIONS'
 
HDP Provincial Co-Chair Zeyyat Ceylan, speaking after the moment of silence for those who lost their lives in the freedom struggle, said: “We are expressing once again on this holiday as every year; The freedom that you struggled 30-40 years ago has been followed by the tens of thousands since then and now it is followed by the freedom of millions.”
 
'A MASSIVE RESISTANCE'
 
Ceylan said: "Those who attacked Vedat Aydın, his friends and our people that day, the mentality that turned Kurdistan into a bloodbath still continues their attacks. Today, millions embrace their struggle. This struggle is theirs.”
 
MP candidate Mehmet Emin Aktar shared his memories with Aydın and said: "We miss you very much. These people have not forgotten you and will never forget you.”
 
Aydın's brother, Veysi Aydın, stated that they paved the way for the struggle for the oppressed peoples and said: "These elections are important, the struggle of the martyrs has come to a point, we will crown it with victory in the elections."
After the speeches, carnations were left on the grave of Aydın.
