ANKARA – Journalists Sedat Yılmaz and Dicle Müftüoğlu were arrested. Yılmaz condemned the decision and said: "The illegal order will be destroyed in 10 days."
15 of the 19 people, including Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) Co-chairperson Dicle Müftüoğlu and Mesopotamia Agency (MA) editor Sedat Yılmaz, who were detained in operations in 15 cities within the scope of the Ankara-based investigation, were detained and 3 were referred for judicial control. His interrogations at the Ankara Criminal Judgeship of Peace on Duty ended.
5 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED
The court issued an arrest warrant for journalists Sedat Yılmaz, Dicle Müftüoğlu, Erol Balcı, Abdurrahim Tanyeli and Ramazan Debe. Sedat Yılmaz's wife, Selma Yılmaz, Cahit Kanbay, Cihan Güneş, İsmail Adanmış, Cahit Ablay, Mahmut Doğu, Devran Ak, Şemsettin Toprak, Mehmet Emin Yıldırım, Cevdet İsmailoğulları, Hasan Özhan, Evin Özbek and Suat Karagöz were released on condition of judicial control in the form of signature and ban on abroad.
'ILLEGAL ORDER WILL BE DESTROYED IN 10 DAYS'
Sedat Yılmaz, for whom an arrest warrant was issued, said in front of the court door: "The illegal order will be destroyed in 10 days."
