URFA - Senyaşar family, who have been on sit-in in Riha(Urfa) for 783 days, voted and gave the message: “We have fulfilled our duty for a democratic future”.
The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. The family cast their votes at Fethi Şimşek Girls' Anatolian High School located in the Democracy District of the Pirsûs (Suruç) district.
Ferit Şenyaşar, who is also a candidate for the Greens and Future Left Party (Green Left Party) Riha(Urfa) MP, said after voting: “We have fulfilled our duty for justice, a democratic future. No office or position is more important than human life. Our hope is to complete our election without incident and bring about the change.”
