ISTANBUL - As part of the Tekirdağ-based investigation, nearly 30 people, including HDP former provincial co-chairs and current administrators, were detained.
Simultaneous house raids were carried out on many addresses in the morning within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Tekirdağ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. It was reported that within the scope of the investigation carried out with the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization", nearly 30 people, 4 of them in Çanakkale, were taken into custody.
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial Co-chair in Çanakkale Ömer Faruk Kırıç, HDP provincial administrators Seza Büyükkılıç, Turgut Haskan and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) former Provincial Co-chair Veysel Kutluay, and in Edirne's Keşan district, Socialist Re-Establishment Party (SYKP) District manager Mehmet Akyürek were taken into custody.
Those detained will be taken to Tekirdağ.
In Tekirdağ, it was learned that former co-chairperson and current administrators were among those detained. There is a confidentiality order in the investigation file.
Some of the detained names are as follows: "Hilmi Karaoğlan, Zübeyde Karaoğlan, Serkan Karaoğlan, Senem Özbey, Servet Taşkın, Mehmet Akyürek, Sibel Kayıkçı, Cezmi yaman, Rahmi Direk, Ayla Eroğlu, Ömer Faruk Kıriç, Deniz Erdem, Seza Büyükkılıç, Veysel kutay, Turgut Haksal.”
