NEWS CENTER - Voting for the Presidential second round, which has been on the agenda with violations throughout the day, has been completed as of 17.00.
The voting process, which started at 08:00 for the presidential second round election, was completed at 17:00. A total of 191 thousand 885 ballot boxes were established in 973 districts and 1094 district election boards for 60 million 721 thousand 745 voters across Turkey. Vote counting has begun at all ballot boxes.
AKP Chairperson Tayyip Erdoğan and CHP Chairperson Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu competed for the presidency, which could not be elected in the first round.
THE VOTES OF ABROAD
Voting procedures at overseas representations ended on May 24. Voting procedures at the customs gates of those who could not vote within the specified time in their country of residence were completed at 17.00 today. The ballot papers used abroad were brought to Turkey by planes and diplomatic couriers. The votes stored in the Overseas District Election Board in Ankara ATO Congresium will be opened and counted simultaneously with the other votes after the completion of the voting process throughout the country.
THE VIOLATION OF ELECTION
During the voting process, news of violations came from many cities. Many violations took place, from pressures from police, soldiers and rangers to threats from AKP members, from attacks on ballot box committee members to mass and open voting, from obstruction of lawyers and delegations to irregularities in 142 documents, from voting for dead voters to beating MPs, and the minutes were kept.
