On the Newroz card sent to Esmer, who has been imprisoned for 29 years, the words "Newroz be piroz!" A 3-day solitary sentence was given by the Prison Disciplinary Board on the grounds that it was written and a judicial investigation was started.
 
Esmer's objection to the solitary sentence was rejected by the Afyonkarahisar Execution Judge. After the objection was accepted by the Afyonkarahisar High Criminal Court, the solitary sentence was abolished.
 
JURISDICTION WAS STARTED
 
In the indictment prepared against Esmer, the postcard of “Newroz be piroz! which was checked by the prison administration during the storm of the ward was given as a reason for sentence. The indictment said about Esmer: "Pictures, banners, symbols, etc. representing criminal organizations. A lawsuit was filed in Afyonkarahisar 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance on the grounds of "possession of materials". On June 2, 2022, when the first hearing of the case was held, Esmer was sentenced to 10 months in prison.
 
It was stated that the treatment of Esmer, who was also under arrest, was also blocked. His brother Davut Esmer, who went to prison on July 1 for the feast, said that his brother was not treated and that various reasons were produced to prevent his release.
 
Evaluating the sentence given to her brother because of his Newroz card coming from outside, Esmer said: "My brother has been in prison for 29 years. He had 13 months left on his sentence. 10 more months added to his sentence. Apart from my brother, there are Şevket Bilici who has been imprisoned for 31 years and Dijwar Ebdo İsmail, who has been imprisoned for 32 years.”
 
CALL FOR SENSITIVITY
 
Stating that her brother had wounds, Esmer said: “My brother's treatment should be done completely and completely. Due to his serious illnesses, he should be evacuated so that he can be treated in healthier conditions with his family.”
