VAN - Stating that there is isolation in every facet of life in the person of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, Ökkeş Kava, a member of the DBP VQA said: “We call on everyone who defends democracy to be a voice against the isolation.”

 

There has been no news from PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan since his interrupted phone call with his brother Mehmet Öcalan on March 25, 2021. The applications made by the families and lawyers of Hamili Yıldırım, Ömer Hayri Konar and Veysi Aktaş, who are being held on İmralı İsland with Abdullah Öcalan, are also rejected with punishments given under the name of "discipline". Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office rejected the application made by the most recent lawyers on July 18 and did not provide information on the reason for the sentence.

 

Evaluating the situation in İmralı, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Central Executive Board (MYK) member Ökkeş Kava said that the people should raise their voices to break the isolation.

 

'AIM IS TO BREAK ÖCALAN'S TIES WITH THE SOCIETY'

 

Stating that the government aims to break Abdullah Öcalan's ties with the society with the isolation system, Kava said that despite this, the PKK Leader continues to be the voice of the whole society. Kava said: “Rights, law and justice are suspended in Turkey. In addition, international states that defend so-called democracy become blind, deaf and dumb when it comes to the demands of Mr. Öcalan and the Kurdish people.”

 

'THERE IS ISOLATION IN EVERY AREA OF LIFE'

 

Emphasizing that they will continue the struggle against isolation in every field, Kava said: “The press is under isolation, our culture is in isolation, our voice, color and every meaning are under isolation. There is an attempt to isolate a society in the person of Mr. Öcalan. Today we think we are free, but we are not. There is isolation in streets, cities, neighborhoods and in every aspect of life. That's why we, as institutions and political parties, will always work to break the isolation. We are working on it but it is not enough. We will work harder to break the isolation. The policy they implement is something that has no precedent in the world. A policy of hostility is being carried out against Mr. Abdullah Öcalan. This is now another dimension of isolation."

 

'LET'S BE A VOICE AGAINST THE ISOLATION'

 

Emphasizing the importance of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's ideas for the peoples of the world, Kava said: "The leadership's paradigm has now crossed the borders of Kurdistan. Today, Mr. Öcalan's ideas are everywhere. All peoples need to voice against the isolation and support Mr. Öcalan. We call on everyone who defends democracy to be a voice against isolation.”
