MUĞLA - While the citizens who prevented the cutting teams in the Akbelen Forest were removed from the area with the attack of the soldiers, the journalists who were besieged were also prevented from shooting.

In the Akbelen Forest in Muğla Milas, the ongoing tree cutting for the colliery was prevented by the villagers and ecologists. Citizens who entered the cutting area in the early hours of the <morning did not allow them to enter the area by blocking the cutting teams coming to the forest. The teams tried to dissuade the citizens by driving cars. However, citizens did not leave the area. Then, as the cutting teams retreated, soldiers came to the area.

CITIZENS WERE TAKEN OUT OF THE AREA

The soldiers who came to the area attacked the citizens in the area and took them out of the area. Against this, the women hugged the trees and shouted, "We don't want our pine trees to be cut down, that's enough." The women, who were hugging the centuries-old trees, were forcibly plucked from the trees and taken out of the area.

'THEY SHOULD BREAK MY ARMS'

A peasant woman hugging a pine tree cried out, "They should break my arms and legs, not cut my pines like that. We came so that they would not cut down our trees, but traitors came, they cut down our pines. Shame on them."

ADMINISTRATIVE FINE

On the other hand, the soldiers impose administrative fines, citing the Muğla Governorship's ban on entry into the forests.

JOURNALISTS ARE BLOCKED

While the villagers were waiting in the forest area, the journalists in the region were besieged by soldiers and prevented from shooting.
