NEWS CENTER - Tabqa Water Unit reported that 9 water supply stations were out of service due to Turkey cutting off the Euphrates water.

 

Tabqa Su Unit made a statement about Turkey's cutting off the water flowing from the Euphrates River. The unit made a statement on the subject after meeting with the representatives of the Tabqa Democratic Civil Administration. Tabqa Water Unit Co-Chair Hemûd Şêx stated that Turkey has put into effect all kinds of inhumane methods against Northern and Eastern Syria.

 

Stating that Turkey uses water resources as a "warfare tool”, Şêx said: “The water level of the dams and the water level in the lakes, including the Tebqa Dam, have decreased significantly. The Tabqa Dam lost 4 billion cubic meters of water due to these actions."

 

Emphasizing that 9 water supply stations were completely out of service and the people using these stations were left without water, Şêx called on the United Nations (UN) to "End the war crimes committed by the Turkish state against all Syrians, especially in the Northern and Eastern Syria Regions."
