NEWS CENTER - Eylem Aktı from Jineoloji Magazine, which called for participation in the protests to be held in Rojhilat on the anniversary of the murder of Jîna Emînî, emphasized the importance of solidarity with the women of Rojhilat.

The people of Rojhilat are preparing for nationwide protests on September 16, the anniversary of the murder of Jina Emini by the Iranian regime. The women leading the demonstrations drew attention to the importance of participation in the demonstrations and activities to be held. Eylem Aktı from Jineology Magazine called for solidarity to women from Kurdistan.

'JIN JIYAN AZADI' PHILOSOPHY

Stating that the Iranian regime has been oppressing women for years, Aktı said: “The slogan of jin, jiyan, azadi actually contains the concept of a women-led ecological, free and equal life. This slogan reflects the spirit of these demonstrations; therefore, it is quite appropriate to carry out the demonstrations with this slogan. This slogan was understood by the masses with the Rojava Revolution. The philosophy of 'jin, jiyan, azadi' is actually a paradigm that contains the truth of life. Looking at the revolution in Iran now, there is a female-led situation for the first time. But the main thing there is the formation of women-led organizations. For example, when we look at history, the organizations against the Pahlavi regime in 1979 were led by Kurdish women."

ROJAVA

Emphasizing that the importance of women's leadership emerged once again with the "Rojava Revolution", Aktı said: "We saw how Kurdish women led the war. We saw examples of this in Kobanê, Qamishlo and Afrin. Women-led demonstrations became role models for the Rojava Revolution. This is a mirror for us. The Kurdish women's movement directs general politics. There are many examples of this throughout history; There are Leyla Qasım, Garibe Gezer, Beritan and many more female symbols that I can't list. "Jîna is also a symbol of the women's movement in Kurdistan."

'WOMEN DID NOT STEP BACK'

Referring to the Iranian regime's oppression of women, Aktı said: “Women are not just killed. You remember, there were female students in high school who were poisoned by chemical gases. This continued for a long time, the female students were wanted to be destroyed. Many women were arrested, detained and repentance was imposed on these women. Women were asked to sign letters saying 'I will comply with sharia', but the women did not back down. When we consider this from a historical perspective, Rojhılatê Kurdistan has very important places. For example, it is a geography that has been able to defend itself in terms of the origins of Kurdish culture, language, history and culture since the Neolithic period. That's why women don't step back because of history."
