More than 90 people detained in 18 provinces regarding the Ankara attack

NEWS CENTER – Following the attack on the General Directorate of Security, the number of people detained in operations carried out in 18 provinces exceeded 90.
 
The operations initiated regarding the attack on the General Directorate of Security located in the Ministry of Internal Affairs campus continue. Following the attack, at least 20 people, including the executives of the People's Democratic Congress (HDK), the People's Democratic Party (HDP) and non-governmental organizations, were detained in Istanbul and Kırklareli yesterday. While the interrogations of the prisoners at the Istanbul Provincial Police Department continued, new detentions were made in the ongoing operations.
 
Birca Belek Language and Culture Co-Chair Fatma Gizçiler was taken into custody during the house raids carried out by the police in the Cudi District of Şirnex's Cizîr district in the morning. While the reason for Hider's detention was not known, it was learned that he was taken to the District Police Department.
 
MOST REFUGEES
 
It was learned that 25 people have been detained so far in the operation carried out in Riha. It was learned that most of the detained people were refugees from Northern and Eastern Syria and Syrian citizens. According to the information obtained; A citizen named Hacı Şex Halil was detained in Hewag (Bozova), and Yalçın Sağ and his wife Şivîn Bozan were detained in Pirsûs (Suruç).
 
While a 'confidentiality' decision was made on the investigation file, a 24-hour lawyer restriction was imposed on the prisoners.
 
STATEMENT FROM MINISTER YERLİKAYA
 
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced that 55 people were detained in operations carried out in 16 provinces.
 
In his statement on his social media account, Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that operations were launched across Turkey as of 08.30 with the participation of 13 thousand 440 security personnel. Minister Yerlikaya announced that 12 people were detained in Mersin, Wan(Van), Riha(Urfa), Mêrdîn and Aydın within the scope of the operations called "Heroes".
 
Yerlikaya stated that 55 people were detained in the operations carried out in 16 provinces, including Riha-centered Mêrdin, Amed(Diyarbakır), Dilok(Gaziantep), Mersin, Şirnex(Şırnak), İstanbul, Bursa, Êlih(Batman), Denizli, Adana, Kayseri, Antalya, Konya, Isparta and Kocaeli.
