48 of the 143 people who were detained just days before the elections were arrested and 91 were released within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
DFG made a statement regarding the continuation of the detention operations against journalists and said: “Our co-chairperson Dicle Müftüoğlu and journalist Sedat Yılmaz should be released immediately. You will not be able to bend the pen of the truth, you will not be able to silence the free press."

During the detention operation in Diyarbakır, Halise Aksoy and her daughter Mizgin Karataş, whose bones of her son Agit İpek were sent to her by cargo, were also arrested.
11 more people were arrested in the detention operation in Diyarbakır. The number of those arrested increased to 39.
Journalists Ahmet Kanbal, Salih Keleş and Osman Akın, who were detained in the Diyarbakır-based operation, were brought to the courthouse.
Speaking at the protest held in front of the Diyarbakır Courthouse regarding the detentions and arrests in Diyarbakır-centered 21 provinces, Green Left Party MP candidate Mehmet Emin Aktar said: "The aim is to create fear, but we are not afraid, we are here."
Labor and Freedom Alliance announced that they will support Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the Presidential elections.
Imprisoned HDP MP Semra Güzel stated that the Kurdish people on trial are the reality, and it was decided to continue her detention in the hearing.
