Stating that the descendants of Şêx Seîd (Sheikh Said) did not give up their struggle and today the whole world is talking about Kurds and their struggle, DBP Co-chair Keskin Bayındır said. “We will build a ‘Peace and Democratic Society’ by protecting Mr Öcalan’s will for a solution.”

Hasan Erdoğan, Chair of the Ankara Bar Association’s Child Rights Centre, warned that the incarceration of minors is contributing to higher crime rates among children in Turkey. “The more detention is used, the more crime increases. 90% of children who are imprisoned return to prison within a year,” he said.
