Trustee appointed to Kars municipality

NEWS CENTER - The Ministry of Interior appointed a trustee to Kars Municipality right after Ayhan Bilgen was arrested within the scope of the "Kobanê investigation".

The Ministry of Interior suspended Kars Municipality Co-mayor Ayhan Bilgen, who was arrested with 16 politicians on the grounds of the 2014 Kobanê protests. Immediately after Bilgen was arrested, the Ministry appointed Kars Governor Türker Öksüz as trustee.
 
ALACA IN DETENTION
 
5 Municipal Council members and 2 Provincial General Assembly members, including Co- Mayor Şevin Alaca, who was detained yesterday in Kars, were suspended from duty.
