ŞIRNAK - Stating that the Roboski Massacre hangs in the dark corridors of Ankara, HDP Co-chair Pervin Buldan said: "If they are searching for murderers and terrorists, they should look into Roboski."

A commemoration was held at the graves of 34 people, 19 of whom are children, who were killed in the Roboski village of Uludere district of Şırnak on 28 December 2011, as a result of the bombardment of warplanes belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces. The commemoration was attended by Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chairs Saliha Aydeniz and Keskin Bayındır, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Pervin Buldan, HDP Spokesperson Ebru Günay, MPs, families of those lost in the bombardment and many people from the cities of the region.

BULDAN: IT'S A CRIMA AGAINST HUMANITY

Stating that 9 years have passed since the bombardment, Buldan said: "This is an indescribable pain that isn't limited with this village and the bombardment. The whole process was painful. It is ofcourse not an accident. It was clearly a massacre. The state, the government knowingly and willingly bombed the people of Roboski. The history has witnessed many massacres just like this. These mountains, the people living here is the live memories of these painful times. These people here are the memories of the crimes against the Kurds. These people are the live memories of destroyed graveyards and extra judicial killings. We are talking about a massacre that we will never forget and one day hold those responsible to account."

THEY  KNEW EVERYTHING..

Stating that the bombardment was carried out within the knowladge of the National Security Council (MGK), Buldan said: "The fact that nothing was done despite the fact that these people were killed with the bombs dropped, not from another countries planes but this countries planes is an indication of the hostility against the Kurds. Even though everyone knew everything and 34 people were killed openly, no one have been prosecuted for this crime."

'OUR TURN WILL COME'

Stating that the process continues, Buldan said: "This doesn't mean all is done and gone. Our turn will come. AKP will eventually lose. The new governments to come will look into this murders. AS the HDP, we once again promise that we will never let this go."

'LOOK INTO ROBOSKI'

Buldan concluded her words and said: "Those who persecute these families, those who arrest the family members instead of the perpetrators, those who hold Ferhat Encü behind bars for all these years, those who hold Veli Encü behind bars now should know that, if they are searching for murderers and terrorists in this country, they should look into Roboski. As the HDP we will stand with the families to the end. Those responsible for this massacre will one day stand trial. No one should doubt that. We will do all that in our power both politically and legally. We once again promise that right here before these families."
