Judicial control conditions for journalists lifted

İZMİR - Judicial control conditions for journalists Semra Turan and Melike Aydın have been lifted.

The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporters Semra Turan and Tolga Güney and JINNEWS reporter Melike Aydın due to "terrorist organization membership" on the grounds of their professional activities was held at Izmir 13th High Criminal Court. The court announced its verdict separately after each defence.
 
The court decided to lift the judicial control conditions of Melike Aydın and Tolga Güney on house confinement and Semra Turan on judicial control. The ban on living the country decision were not lifted. The hearings were adjourned to 12 May.
