NEWS CENTER - İmralı Delegation will visit the Federated Kurdistan Region and meet with Massoud Barzani, Nechirvan Barzani and Bafil Talabani.
The İmralı Delegation of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) will visit the Federated Kurdistan Region next weekend. It is learnt that the delegation will meet with KDP Chair Massoud Barzani, Federated Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, YNK Chair Bafil Talabani and other officials.
DEM Party made a statement on the issue. The statement reads:
"The DEM Party İmralı Delegation has met with Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı twice and continues its contacts with different segments of the society and related circles of the Kurdish issue. Our delegation will visit the Federated Kurdistan Region this weekend and meet with the officials of the Regional Government. The delegation will include members of the İmralı Delegation Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder, DBP Co-chair Keskin Bayındır, members of our Foreign Relations Commission and party officials.
The delegation will meet with Massoud Barzani and Nechirvan Barzani in Hewlêr (Erbil) on Sunday 16 February. The delegation will go to Sulaymaniyah and meet with YNK Chair Bafil Talaani, Kubat Talabani and YNK officials on Monday 17 February.
During the visits, the details of the talks held in İmralı will be shared and the opinions, suggestions and thoughts of those concerned regarding the process will be received and then conveyed to Mr Öcalan.
Our delegation had previously met with political parties with groups in the Turkish Grand National Assembly and with Figen Yüksekdağ, Selahattin Demirtaş, Leyla Güven and other imprisoned politicians, and conveyed the suggestions, opinions and thoughts received from these meetings to Mr Öcalan.
On the other hand, our party informed the public about these activities through public meetings and rallies with wide participation in 42 centres and conveyed the opinions, suggestions, concerns and expectations of the public to the İmralı Delegation in the form of reports."
