Operation against municipalities in Istanbul

ISTANBUL - 9 people, including deputy mayors, were detained in an operation against 7 district municipalities in Istanbul.
 
Investigations were launched against several municipalities under CHP administration in Istanbul. Within the scope of the investigation, 9 people, including deputy mayors of Kartal and Ataşehir and municipal council members of Tuzla, Adalar, Şişli, Beyoğlu and Fatih, were detained.
 
While there is a confidentiality order on the file, it is stated that there is a 24-hour lawyer restriction order.
 
The detained names are as follows: Şişli City Council member Sinan Gökçe, Üskürdar City Council member Bülent Kaygun, Fatih City Council member Güzin Alparslan, Ataşehir Deputy Mayor Livan Gür, Kartal Deputy Mayor Cemalettin Yüksel, Tuzla City Council member Hasan Özdemir, Beyoğlu City Council member Turabi Şen, Sancaktepe City Council member Elif Gül and Adalar City Council member Nesimi Aday.
