ANKARA - DEM Party Co-chair Tulay Hatimogullari said that the call expected to be made by PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan may not reach the 15th of February.
Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Co-chair Tulay Hatimogullari answered journalists' questions after her party's weekly group meeting. Asked abour the call of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, she said, "The call may not reach 15 February."
Reminded the visit of the DEM Party İmralı Delegation to the Federated Kurdistan Region Tulay Hatimogullari stressed: "Our delegation will also pay various visits to the Federated Kurdistan Region. These will be conveyed to Mr Öcalan along with the results. We estimate that such a historic call can be realised within this month. Today, everyone in Turkey has given the message that they are in favour of establishing peace in this country. In this sense, society is ready. In this sense, politics is also ready. In this sense, the opposition is also ready. The one who is not ready is obviously the government. They should announce their road map for the peace process related to solution and dialogue. The ongoing isolation of Mr Öcalan must be lifted. Today's operation against Istanbul municipalities and the sentence given to our co-mayor of Van Metropolitan Municipality dynamite this dialogue process. For this reason, we make our call once again to the government and the state mind; pave the way for the development of peace and dialogue."
