DERSIM - Speaking at the conference on “Poverty is not fate, crisis is in capitalism, solution is in socialism” organized by the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) in Dersim, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MP Erol Katırcığolu said, “Contrary to the government's statements, rather a serious economic crisis is faced."
'THEY ENTAIL MORE DISASTERS'
Emphasizing that the crisis is due to the macro economy, Katırcıoğlu said, “The crisis is financial rather than being related to production. While the AKP managed at a certain level of governance between 2002-2008 period, they began to have difficulties afterwards. The chemistry and the routine of the government broke down. After 2009, it has become hard for the government to manage the economy. Especially recently, we have felt the crisis a lot. They started to centralize all the decisions. In line with their own interests, all decisions are made in the Palace. Whatever they apply to get out from the status of crisis entails more crisis."
"NEED TO COME TOGETHER ON ONE CHANNEL"
ESP Chair Gümüştaş stated that capitalism affects Turkey's economic structure. Reminding that since the moment the regime turned towards Islamic restoration and monopoly, it has entered into an armed conflict with Gülen Community, Gümüştaş said: “It was also a conflict with the values and accumulation of the Republic. Turkey has entered into a tense process of political transformation. The parties of this process are not yet clear. It does not have a stability in its internal structure. On the other hand, there is a very strong struggle for political freedom. These struggle does not completely seperate itself from the dream for socialism. We believe that the left movement should produce economic, social and political campaigns and policies. We see the need to meet on one channel with the demands of the people."
