Journalist Öznur Değer to be referred to court

MÊRDÎN - Journalist Öznur Değer, who was detained in Mêrdîn in the morning, used her right to remain silent. It is learned that Öznur Değer will be referred to the prosecutor's office.

JINNEWS reporter Öznur Değer was beaten and detained with reverse handcuffs during a house raid in Qoser (Kızıltepe) district of Mêrdîn (Mardin) in the morning. It is learned that Öznur Değer testify is expected to be taken after meeting with her lawyer. Journalist Öznur Değer is charged with "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" for her news posts on virtual media, and for her posts about Cihan Bilgin and Nazım Daştan, who were killed by Turkish drones while they were following news reports in North and East Syria on December 19.
 
Öznur Değer used her right to remain silent against being beaten during detention and refused to sign the police report.
 
It is learned that Öznur Değer will be referred to the prosecutor's office within the day.
