Making a statement on behalf of the journalists, co-chair of Dicle Fırat Journalists Association Dicle Müftüoğlu stated that as journalists they follow the discussions on the solution of the Kurdish issue. Dicle Müftüoğlu added, "There have been statement by many parties and we have tried to publicise this. All parties are making statements to the press in live broadcasts. However, we do not have the chance to announce Abdullah Öcalan's statements directly. We have partial information through the delegations that have travelled so far. For this reason, we have applied as women journalists to meet with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to learn his ideas on the process and the solution of the issue. As journalists, we have the duty to enlighten the society and at this point we would like to ask him questions."
Lastly, Dicle Müftüoğlu called on all other journalists to apply for a more objective journalism.
