ANKARA - Announcing its interim decision in the Kobanê Case, the court decided to release Bircan Yorulmaz and Mesut Bağcık.
The 18th hearing period of the Case of Kobanê where 108 people, 20 of whom were imprisoned, including former Co-Chairs of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and members of the Central Executive Board (MYK), were put on trial, on the grounds of the demonstrations that took place on October 6-8, 2014 over the ISIS attacks on Kobanê, was held yesterday at the Sincan Prison Campus Trial Hall with its 8th session.
The court adjourned for an interim decision in the last session of the two-week trial period. The court board, announcing its decision in the middle of the night, decided to release Bircan Yorulmaz and Mesut Bağcık on condition of judicial control by considering that their defense and detention were sufficient.
THE COURT DECIDED TO CONTINUE 18 PEOPLE'S ARREST
The court, the imprisoned politicians Ali Ürküt, Alp Altınörs, Ayla Akat Ata, Ayşe Yağcı, Bülent Parmaksız, Dilek Yağcı, Gültan Kışanak, İsmail Şengül, Nazmi Gür, Pervin Oduncu, Sebahat Tuncel, Selahattin Demirtaş, Figen Yüksekdağ, Meryem Adıbelli, Aynur Aşan, Zeynep Ölbeci and Zeynep Karama decided to continue their arrest.
The 19th hearing period of the Kobanê Case will be held at the Sincan Prison Campus between November 21 and December 2.
