İSTANBUL - Ahlam Albashir, who was detained in connection with the explosion in Taksim, said in her statement that she came to Turkey from Idlib, not from Erfrin.
The statement of Ahlam Albahsır, who was detained in connection with the explosion that killed 6 people and injured 81 people on Istiklal Street in Istanbul and was stated to be Syrian, contradicted the statements of Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and the General Directorate of Security. While Soylu and the Police Department announced that the suspect came to Turkey from Afrin, Albahsır said in his statement today, "I passed from Idlib to Hatay."
After Albashir's capture, it was emphasized in the statements of Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and the General Directorate of Security that the perpetrator "passed through Afrin". Interior Minister Soylu made the following statement: “We have an assessment that the order for the action came from Kobani. We have an assessment that the perpetrator passed through Afrin. The person who did the incident and dropped the bomb was detained by the teams of our Istanbul Police Department.”
In the official statement made by the General Directorate of Security, it was said: "The person declared in her interrogation that she entered our country illegally through Afrin-Idlib to take action."
