DERSİM - Mithat Konak with disability in Hozat district started a march do Dersim on his wheelchair, protesting the 3 year imprisonement of his niece, right before her hearing tomorrow.
The hearing of Dersim Konak who is being held in Hilvan Type T Closed Prison in Urfa for the last three years, will be held tomorrow. Konak is accused of 'being a member of an illegal organization'. Stating that his niece is being illegally detained, Konak's uncle Mithat Konak started a march on his wheelchair from Hozat district to Tunceli Courthouse. Konak has now arrived at Demirkapı road, located in the middle of Hozat and Dersim.
'NO EVIDENCE, NO DOCUMENTS, NO SENTENCE'
Konak said his niece was arrested because she attended a March 8 event and because she has a picture taken in front of the photo of Sakine Cansız. Stating that his niece's imprisonmenet is unlawful, Konak said: "They keep postponing the trial. There is no evidence, no documents and no finalized sentence, but she has been in prison for 3 years. They are stalling us with conspiracies. I am carrying out this demonstration because she is illegally being held in prison for 3 years."
Konak is expected to be in the courthouse before the hearing to be held at the Tunceli High Criminal Court.
