AYDIN - The senior year students of the Medical Faculty of Adnan Menderes University are infected with coronavirus.

Two senior students in the Medical Faculty of Adnan Menderes University were diagnoased positive for coronavirus. As the students in the faculty learn about that, they campaigned in social media with the hashtag #Adüinternleri (Adü Interns) blaming the rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selçuk not allowing the students to use their right of online education. Students told that their friends, who were infected, were sent to the section for the pandemic in the hospital without the PPE.

RISK OF INFECTION IS HIGH

Students also shared the information that they could learn which patients were suspected to be coronavirus positive in the services of the faculty's hospital only after the contact as they announced their concerns as follows: "The conditions of the intern med students are not the same as the other health workers. Among us, the risk of infection is high. Then again we use buses to go to the university. Medical students and the health workers are human too, beyond their profession. The protective measures which apply to everyone should apply to us as well".
